Michael E. Mainhart, Sr., 71, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on September 10, 2013 surrounded by his family at a local hospital.
There are no words that can describe the tremendous void that has been left within our hearts after the passing of Mike, but we do find hope and consolation in our faith that he now rests in the company of all those in heaven who have gone before him.
Mike Mainhart was a humble, loving, caring and hardworking individual who believed in educating and sharing with those around him of his many talents and God given gifts.-Mike was born in Warren, Ohio, was educated and joined the United States Armed Forces, US NAVY and bravely served his country.
He was employed by Delphi-Packard and oversaw a tooling plant in Mexico along with his spouse, Faith, who worked in Engineering.-
A love story that began after the previous marriages of both Mike and Faith united two families together.-It was a loving and faithful 26 years of marriage, where together, they were always each other's support.-The family moved to Laredo, Texas in order to fulfill Mike's duties as a plant manager.-Little did we know, that what was supposed to be 2 years, turned to many, many wonderful memorable years.-The friendships forged throughout the years cannot be copied and found anywhere else.-Mike adapted to Laredo far better than anyone else we have known and met throughout the years; he became a true adopted Laredoan.
Together with Faith, Mike raised 4 loving children whom he taught to never surrender despite life's many challenges.-Just as Mike always figured out how to handle situations, he too passed this along to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mike was the glue that held the family together; Mike was our greatest supporter; Mike was adventurous and loved.
We lift up our prayers to God the almighty father and ask for his blessings and give him thanks and praise for the years we were able to spend with Mike.-May he grant him a place in heaven amongst the angels and saints; we will miss you, but your memory will live forever in our hearts and minds.
He is survived by his loving wife and faithful companion of 26 years of marriage: Faith Ruiter-Mainhart; children: Michael E. Mainhart, Jr. and spouse Dorothy; Denise Bradley; Brent Mainhart and spouse Margarita; Stacey Potts.-Left to cherish the wonderful memories as well are his grandchildren:-Michael E. Mainhart III, Courtney Marie Mainhart, Larry (Yaritsa) Charlton, Amanda Armendariz, Brandon Pierce Charlton, Adam Chambers-Mainhart, Amorette Mainhart, Cullen M. Potts and Conner J. Potts as well as being further survived by 5 great-grandchildren; his only living sister: Cynthia Sloan from Annapolis, MD and predeceased by his brother: Alfred Pincione.
We would like to express with sincere gratitude our thanks to his medical team for the attention provided to Mike; Dr. Carlos Cigarroa, Dr. Matte Martinez, Dr. Mateo Reyes, and Dr. Jaime Sued.
He was very close to several of his friends, especially: Tom Engelhardt, Bernie Ramirez, Mike Canno and Efrain Garcia as well as many extended acquaintances.
