Merced Limon

September 24, 1940 — April 2, 2021

It was in the early hours of the commemoration of the Good Friday observance, that our beloved Merced Jose Limon, 80, was welcomed into the gates of heaven.  He joins all the angels and saints and all who have gone before him.  He will leave us a void in our hearts that will be filled with remembered joys gained throughout his life here on Earth. “May the choirs of angels come to greet you. May they speed you to paradise.”

His passion was a professional truck driver for over 30 years at IBW, now known as UETA.  His career took him to many places around Texas as well as California and Florida.  Merced was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Miguel and Concepcion Limon and his beloved wife, Guadalupe C. Limon of 49 years of marriage.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, María L. (Alejandro) Medina, Miguel Limón, and Martha L. (Rufino) Llanos; grandchildren, Alex Medina Jr. (Karla Cisneros), Clarissa (Victor Martinez) Medina, Verónica (Joey Rodriguez) Medina, Miguel Limon Jr., Ruby Limón, Elizabeth, Jose Daniel Llanos, Carolina Llanos; great-grandchildren: Miguel Limon III, Kendra Lynn Rodriguez, and Alex Medina III; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez from 4 until 9 p.m.  A Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be held at 6 p.m.
