Mary Hein Miller, 88, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 01, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary dedicated 28 years of her life to Western Union and proceeded to devote time to the community, from 1974 - 1993, where she worked at Laredo Junior College in the Yeary Library as a circulation clerk. She was an active member of the Retired Teachers Association, Tuesday Music Club, and Laredo Travel Club where she had the opportunity to attend the Pope's Papal Mass in San Antonio, Texas. Mary and her late husband Al dedicated their 56 years of marriage to their family and friends, while also devoting most of their time to the family farm, "El Rio Farm". She was preceded in death by her husband, Aloysius "Al" Andrew Miller; son, Paul Gerard Miller; sisters, Ethel Hein, Mabel Hein and Lilian H. (Abelardo ) Salinas; brothers, Col. August Oscar Hein, James (Kathleen) Hein, Gus (Gloria) Hein, and brother-in-law, Dan Solomon. Mary is survived by her beloved sons, Ernest Patrick (Margie) Miller, Ronald William (Martha) Miller, Henry Anthony (Lisa) Miller, and Aloys John (Kathy) Miller; grandchildren, Dr. Ernest P. Miller, Mark A. (Claudia) Miller, Dr. Paul G. Miller, Martha V. (Tyler) Kraus, Ronald W. Miller, II., Elizabeth N. Miller, Andrew J. Miller, Brian A. Miller, Alyson J. Miller, Katelyn J. Miller, and A. John Miller, III.; great-grandsons, Matthew A. Miller and Troy Kraus; sister, Lucy Solomon; and brother, Robert (Ofelia) Hein. The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday, October 04, 2015 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday morning, October 05, 2015 departing at 8:45 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Dr. Ernest P. Miller, Jr., Mark A. Miller, Dr. Paul G. Miller, Andrew J. Miller, Brian A. Miller, Ronald W. Miller II., Aloys John Miller III., and Tyler Kraus. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
