Martin Rubio

Martin G. Rubio, 87, passed away Thursday, January 05, 2012.-Mr. Rubio was born on January 30, 1924 and raised in Laredo Texas.-He served in the United States Navy Forces from 1943 "? 1945.-He also worked at the Laredo Air Force Base from 1954 "? 1973.-From there he worked for 17 years retiring from County Road and Bridge.-

Martin is survived by his wife Carmen J. Rubio, sons Martin E. Rubio (Willie), Saul G. Rubio; daughters Laura V. (Pedro) Rodriguez, Melva G. (Felix) Munguia, Brenda A. (Filiberto) Flores; sister Cecilia Rubio, and brother Heriberto Rubio.-He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and other loved relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at: the Laredo Medical Center, the Laredo Specialty Hospital, and especially Dr. Ildefonzo Flores and his staff for their excellent care and service, as well as the Sheriff's Office for providing motor escorts, and American Legion Post 59 and the US Navy for providing Military Honors.
