MARTIN CARLOS PITON, SR. December 29, 1947 - February 14, 2015 Martin Carlos Piton, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Houston, Texas at the age of 67. He was a native of Laredo, Texas, but resided in Houston, Texas. Mr. Piton proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a soldier in the U.S. Armed Forces, and as a Border Patrol Agent in the Laredo sector. He is preceded in death by his parents, Federico and Carmen Piton; brother and sister in law, Federico and Ofelia Piton; niece, Margarita Piton; and in laws, Deacon Salvador and Maria Guadalupe Madrigal. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Myrna Guadalupe Piton; children, Salvador Eduardo (Erika) Cortes, Jessica Yvette Cantu, Martin Carlos Piton, Jr., Vanessa Jasmine Piton; grandchildren, Salvador Emiliano Cortes, Dariana Alexandra Cortes, Lauro Ivan Cantu, Alejandro Eduardo Cantu, Sebastian Aldo Cantu; siblings, Cynthia (Antonio) DeLeza, Laura (Leopoldo) Lozano, Eduardo (Mary) Piton, Belinda (George) Medina, David (Ana) Piton; brothers in law, Salvador (Gloria) Madrigal, Jose Luis Madrigal, Juan (Alicia) Madrigal; sisters in law, Martha Madrigal, Irene Madrigal, and Teresa Madrigal. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery with military honors provided by Fort Sam Houston, and the Local Post 59.
