Mario Casares

Mario Casares, age 72, was called to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12,

2016. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather,

brother, and treasured friend.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Casares and by his father,

Marcos Casares.

Left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 50 years: Angela O. Casares; children:

Cynthia (Robert) Rodriguez, Mario (Belinda) Casares, and Angela (Victor)

Barberena; sisters: Maria Elena (Daniel) Moreno, Irene (Benjamin) Cadena, and

Sylvia (George) Kawas; as well as by his brother: Raul (Esther) Casares. He is

also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who he spoiled

and loved immensely.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe

Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd., where a Vigil for the

Deceased and Rosary are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday morning, January 15, 2016 departing

at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Holy Redeemer Catholic

Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Pallbearers will be: Mario Casares, Jr., Aaron Barberena, Michael Rodriguez,

Robert Rodriguez, Raul Casares, Victor Barerena, Peter Farias, and Octavio "Tavo"

Garza.

The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo

City Cemetery.
