Our beloved mother, grandmother, devoted and loyal friend to many; Marianela Rubio Rodriguez, 82, entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, January 15, 2017, after 6 years of battling her illness in her home, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was a retired and dedicated employee of 30 years, of the Immigration and Naturalization Services at the Laredo Bridge Number 1. Although she had retired many years ago, she was proud and fond of her time spent at the service to her County.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Ventura Rubio; her former spouse, Reynaldo Homar Rodriguez; her sisters, Esther Flores, Lucia Uselton, Angelina Martinez, and Angelica Garza.

She is survived by her children, Eduardo Rodriguez, Rodolfo (Susan) Rodriguez (their children: Rachelle Megan and Kelcy Rae), Maricela Rodriguez (her son Reynaldo Rodriguez) and her sister Emma Inez (Jose) Galinzoga. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her caretakers, Juany Ferdin, Debbie Granados, and her special friend Maria Guadalupe Torres for their utmost care, attention and friendship.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 4 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening.

Cremation services will be held at a later date.
