María de Jesús González, 92, was welcomed into the arms of our beloved and heavenly Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, along with beloved mother Mary and all the saints on Sunday, August 0 9, 2020.
María’s devout faith was of utmost importance in her life. She always began her day with prayer and was fervent and steadfast in praying all day long. As a child she would often make crowns of thorns and would wear them at nighttime when no one would see her. From the young age of seven, she fell in love with Santa Teresa and Roman martyrology jointly. Her rosary was her unwavering companion, and she could be seen carrying it everywhere she went.
She walked beside our Lord in all aspects of her life, each day that went by she grew closer to Him and our blessed Mother Mary. She was a religious warrior who carried out God’s will on Earth. We are confident that she is now home at peace with the Lord and her blessed Mother who often visited her. Together with her husband, they were life-long parishioners of San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church, where she belonged to many societies and church groups such as the Orden de San Francisco. This is not goodbye, but see you later.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francisco “Panchito” or “Don Francisco” Gonzalez; parents, Donaciano and Leobarda S. Soto; brothers, Guadalupe and Austreberto Soto; and sisters, Cecilia Ramon and Maria Sara S. Baldazo.
Left to cherish his memory are: her son, Roberto Gonzalez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives, and friends.
