Maria Veliz

Maria T. Veliz, 72, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

Mrs. Veliz was a hardworking, dedicated person who worked for over 40 years at both UISD & LISD. She was a very kind loving person and will be missed by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Miguel and Virginia De La Fuente, siblings; Arturo De La Fuente, Heriberto Navarro, Maria del Carmen De La Fuente, nephew; Heriberto Navarro, Jr., and in laws; Pedro and Christina Veliz.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband; Pedro Veliz, Jr., their children; Danny Veliz, Marisela (Jerry) Alvarado, siblings; Maria Elena Navarro, Miguel (Hilda) De La Fuente, Gabriel (Eva) De La Fuente, Juan Manuel De La Fuente, Jerry (Maricela S.) Veliz and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Cremation will be held at a later date.

The family request family and friends use a face mask at the funeral home when paying their respects.
