Maria Susana Valero, 85, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
Maria Susana Valero was born on May 24, 1935 in Paso De San Antonio, San Luis Potosi. The daughter of Quirino and Josefa Chavez and the oldest of 8 brothers and sisters.
She was a strong-willed and very independent lady. She was an essential part of each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout their lives. Her love of gardening was evident with every plant, shrub and fruit trees in her yard. She also loved traveling and seeing new places and her keen mind always had surprising tidbits of information about everywhere she visited. Her creativity was also very apparent in the clothing she would sow, in the scarves and knit caps she made for all those she loved. She would crochet, needle point and create beautiful sequence picture of different things she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Quirino and Josefa Valero; brothers Gregorio and Nicolas Valero.
Left to honor her memory include her beloved children Jacqueline (Ramon) De Luna Zarate, Susana (Orlando) Garza, Juanita Gutierrez, and Juan Jose (Gloria) De Luna; siblings Carlos Valero, Adelina (Jose Angel) Huerta, Maria Anatolia (Gregorio) Aguilar, Alfredo (Juanita) Valero, Adalberto Valero, and Celina Valero (Arturo Lopez +); grandchildren Dr. Jessica Lynn Robertson, Gerardo Arturo Ramirez II, Jaime Andres Ramirez, Joel Angel Ramirez, Jazmine Zarate, Cynthia Vianney Rios, Christian Raul Rios, Daniel Alberto Rios, Gustavo Noel Gutierrez, Gabriel David Gutierrez, Jorge Daniel Duron, Jorge Antonio Duron, Bianca Brianna Duron, Juan Jose De Luna Jr., Marco Antonio De Luna, Luis David De Luna, five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and life-long friend Carolina Villegas and Lupe Mejia.
The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday evening, April 11, 2021 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday morning, April 12, 2021 departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Santo Niño De Atoche Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Juan Jose De Luna, Julian Robertson, Gustavo Gutierrez, Gabriel Gutierrez, Jorge Duron, Antonio Duron, Christian Rios, Daniel Rios, and Jaime Andres Ramirez.
