Maria Valdivia

Maria Cristina Valdivia, 92, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 01, 2014. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roberto and Margarita Valdivia; sister and brother in law, Margarita (Raul) Valdivia de Vela; and by her nephew, Miguel Angel Vela. Maria Cristina Valdivia is survived by her nieces and nephews, Raul Vela, Norma Vela, Juanita (David) Mendiola, David (Hopie) Vela, Cristina (Carlos) Villarreal; brother, Roberto (Marcela) Valdivia; grandnieces and nephews, Alejandro Maldonado, Juan Enrique (Darcy) Martinez, Maria Elena Vela, Jessica Vela, Michael Vela, David (Alma) Mendiola Jr., Melissa (Lee) Gignac, Ana (Juan) Zepeda, Esteban Mendiola, Jennifer (Max) Avila, David Vela Jr., Luis Vela, Christian Villarreal; as well as numerous great grandnieces and nephews, other loved relatives and friends. The family would like to extend the most heartfelt thanks to Nina Bolz for all her dedication, compassion, support and most of all her open heart in taking care of Maria for 10 years. May God continue to bless you for all that you did. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 03, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel; 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Rosary will be celebrated at 7 p.m. The funeral procession will depart on Monday, August 04, 2014 at 8 a.m. from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m. Interment will the follow to Laredo City Cemetery.
