MARIA ROSARIO GARCIA

March 17, 1923 - August 01, 2016

Maria Rosario Garcia, 93, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, August 01, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Espiridion and Isabel Delgado; and by her siblings, Ernestina Bernal, Delia (Tomas) Garcia, Guadalupe (Camilo) Garcia, Oscar (Beatriz) Delgado, Roberto (Consuelo) Delgado, and Pedro (Maria) Bernal.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Martha (Julio Jr.) Izquierdo, Jesus Javier Garcia, and Félix (Melissa) Garcia; her adored granddaughters, Naomi Odette (Joe Andrew) Izquierdo-Martnez and Andrea Leonor Garcia; and great-granddaughter, Gia Elise Martinez. She is also survived by her siblings, Isabel and Roque Delgado.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to: her caregiver, Leticia Cruz Garcia; and her physicians, Dr. Roger Lyons and Dr. Jorge Alvarez of San Antonio, Texas, and Dr. Gilberto Garza Lozano of Laredo, Texas. In addition to the Texas Oncology Center; the nurses and staff of Vitas Healthcare-Hospice on Fredericksburg Rd. in San Antonio, Texas for their professionalism, care, and compassion. Lastly they would like to thank close family members and friends who have offered their prayers and support.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 04, 2016 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 05, 2016 departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Agustin Cathedral for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
