MARIA TERESA “TERE” RESENDEZ
DECEMBER 4, 1947 – SEPTEMBER 24, 2019
Maria Teresa “Tere” Resendez, 71, entered into eternal rest on September 24, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was raised in Laredo, Texas, and is a Martin High School graduate of the Class of 1969. Upon graduation she began working at Hachar’s Department Store in downtown Laredo. Soon after, she was employed at the Laredo Retama Manor Nursing Center, followed by several years as a sales clerk at Gordon’s Jeweler’s. Then thereafter, she began working as a registration clerk at St. Augustine High School from 1985-2001. Upon her departure from St. Augustine High School, she dedicated her time to taking care of her beloved mother before joining Martha and Bernie Cortez Real Estate Services. For the past 7 years, she worked as a registration clerk at Laredo Arthritis and Rheumatology Center. Wherever she worked, Mrs. Resendez formed genuine and lasting relationships with every single person she met and came across, often taking the roll of mother hen in her workplace. She took pride in her work and was the epitome of a committed, dedicated, and hard-working individual. She held her positions with utmost integrity and professionalism.
“Tere” or “Miss Terri” as she was so affectionately known by everyone who knew her, was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, sister, and grandmother, also lovingly called “Mimi” by her adored grandson.
