Maria "Mary" Petra Perez January 6, 1940 - March 10, 2015 Maria Petra Perez, age 75, entered into eternal rest on March 10, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. She fought a courageous battle to stay among us; she is now at peace. Maria was born in Laredo, Texas on January 6, 1940. She married the love of her life Alfredo Perez in 1960. She raised 3 daughters with an abundance of love and great wisdom. She shared her love and kindness with many. She showered her 3 grandchildren with as much love and more as she showered her own girls. Maria is preceded in death by her husband Alfredo Perez; and parents, Oscar and Hortencia Cardenas. Maria is survived by her eldest daughter Nora Elsa (Raul) Perez Buentello, two grandchildren Alexis Buentello and Alexander Buentello; second daughter Clodia Lorraine Perez, and granddaughter Lyndsey Marie Perez; and her youngest daughter Brenda Mae Perez. She is also survived by her brother Javier Cardenas; sisters, Nelda Negrete, Sonia De La Garza, Hilda Cardenas; sister in law Minerva Rodriguez; numerous nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 departing the funeral home at 8:00 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
