MARIA LYDIA CAMPOS PARTIDA July 11, 1931 - November 24, 2013 Maria Lydia, 82, entered into eternal rest with her family at her side after a long fought bout with cancer. She will be remembered as a courageous and loving mother. She was very fond of music, dancing and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Antonio Partida; her parents, Zulema Ruiz and Jose Campos; her brother Roel Casiano; and grandson Lee Roy Torres. Lydia is survived by her children Oscar J. Torres, Victor (Manuela) Torres, Elena (John) Slazenik, Juan (Maria Elena) Guerra, Roberto (Hilda) Palermo, Diana (Teresa) Partida, Antoinette Partida, Lydia Partida and Zulema (Robert) Ramirez. She is also survived by her loving cousins, nephews and nieces, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Zuiga Goldwater, Dr. J. Somerville, Dr. J. Wells, Dr. Tula, Dr. Soriano, ALTUS Hospice, Healing Hands, Texas Visiting Nurses, Fiesta Day Care, Mrs. Mona Tobias, Ms. Cecilia Romero, Ms. Sharon Macias and Mrs. Elizabeth Rodriguez for all your loving care. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel; 1410 Jacaman Rd. Funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will then follow to the Laredo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Juan Guerra Jr., Roberto Palermo, Oscar Torres Jr., Juan Guerra III, Joshua Ramirez, Timothy Ramirez, Joseph Ramirez (honorary), Alberto Martinez, and Robert Ramirez.
