MARIA DE LOS ANGELES NELSON

AUGUST 2, 1965 – FEBRUARY 15, 2019

On February 15, 2019, God called Maria de los Angeles Nelson to return to her heavenly home. She was surrounded by her loving and caring family at her side.

She is preceded in death by her father: David Cortez.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her spouse: David Lee Nelson; daughter: Lizbeth Nelson; step-sons: Troy (Sandra) Nelson, Rodney (Shay) Nelson; mother: Pilar Meza; siblings: Fernando Rocha, Margarita Rocha, Maria del Refugio Cortez, Blanca Alicia Cortez, Lucila (Juan Cordova) Cortez, David (Blanca Gonzalez) Cortez, Sergio Cortez, Pilar (Jared Cardenas) Cortez, Tomas (Graciela de la Cruz) Cortez; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 5 pm until 9 pm at Joe Jackson North Funeral and Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd., where a Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. by Pastor Agustin Flores.

Funeral procession will depart at 9:30 in the morning on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 to Iglesia Bautista Hefziba, 4020 Cedar Ave, for a funeral service starting at 10 a.m.

Procession will then follow to the Laredo City Cemetery for the Graveside Service.
