MARIA MAGDALENA MOYA January 29, 1937 - July 24, 2015 Maria Magdalena Moya, 78, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went home to our Lord on Friday, July 24, 2015. Maria loved to watch baseball, but nothing compared to the passion she felt for basketball, she was the self-proclaimed #1 fan of the San Antonio Spurs. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Gertrudis L. De La Garza; and her brother, Jose Manuel De La Garza. Maria is survived by her beloved husband, Enrique Moya; her children, Adriana (Alejandro Montemayor) Moya, Enrique Moya Jr., Luis Lauro (Pat) Moya, Gabriela (Ricardo) Garza, Ruben (Lupita de Leon) Moya, Froy (Nidia) Moya; grandchildren, Erika (Jon) Lozano, Marcos (Kristina) Tijerina Jr., Luis Enrique Moya, Trini (Rudy Gonzalez) Garza, Monica Tijerina, Amanda Garza, Marc Moya, Aaron Moya, Ruby Ann Moya, Carlos Moya, Alan Moya, and Sebastian Moya. She is further survived by her great grandchildren, siblings, other loved relatives and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel; 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 from the funeral home to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will then follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.
