MARGARITA “MARGIE” G. EICHORST

April 15, 1936 – July 30, 2017

Margarita G. Eichorst, best known as Margie by her family and friends, died peacefully in her home on July 30th at the age of 81.

Margie’s greatest joy was to share God’s word with everyone she knew and met. She wanted all to “trust in the Lord Jesus with all our hearts and not lean on our own understanding” Proverbs 3:5 (NASB). She lived for the day that she could walk the Heavenly streets of gold with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ildefonso and Maria de la Luz Guajardo; her sister, Alicia Castillo, and her brothers, Ildefonso Guajardo Jr. and Armando Guajardo.

Margie was the beloved wife of Robert N. Eichorst for 55 years, older sister of Magdalena Guajardo, devoted mother of Robert Eichorst Jr. of Bastrop, Texas and Ronald Eichorst and his wife Erin, and loving “Grandma Margie” to Jaime (Jason) Goodman, Amanda Eichorst, John, Violet, and Angel Eichorst, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will begin on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel; 1410 Jacaman Rd.

Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
