Maria Melinda Mares, 70, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Juanita Mares; siblings, Rosa Mares, Sylvia Mares, and Antonio “Tony” Mares.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Daniel (Delia Garza) Mares; nephews and nieces, Peter Mares, Celina Mares, Jesse (Chelsea) Mares, Robert (Stephanie) Mares, Rebecca (Daniel) Wentzel; 1 grand-nephew, 7 grand-nieces; and her beloved cousins, coworkers, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 9am to 11am at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez.  All services will conclude the same day.
