Maria Luisa Vela, 84, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Miss Maria Luisa Vela is preceded in death by her parents: Conrado Vela and Carmen S. Ramos; brother: Carlos Ramos, and sister: Rebecca R. Valdez. She is survived by her nephew: Carlos G. Valdez; cousin: Consuelo Viera, and other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held this morning, Friday, October 10, 2014 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 9am to 11am with a Catholic service at 10:30 am. Procession will depart the funeral home at 11am. Interment will follow immediately at the Laredo City Cemetery.
