Maria Lugo

Maria Luisa Davis de Gonzalez Lugo, 93, entered eternal rest Friday, January 17, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed. She was a life-long resident of Laredo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Edmundo Gonzalez Lugo, and her daughter Dian Sanford. She is survived by her sons Edmundo (Gina), and Mario (Michelette) Gonzalez Davis, her son-in-law, Bradley Sanford, her grandchildren, Robert Gonzalez Cooper (Maritza), Sylvia Gonzalez Cooper, Edmundo Gonzalez, Luis G. Gonzalez (Jessica), Mayella Gonzalez K. (Donny), Kyle and Ruby Sanford, her great-grandchildren, Diego and Dante Gonzalez and Julianna Maria and Luis Nicolas Gonzalez. Visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring Ave. @ Cortez. A funeral procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where a Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Committal services and interment will then follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Edmundo and Mario Gonzalez Davis, Bradley Sanford, Roberto Gonzalez Cooper, Edmundo Gonzalez, Luis Gonzalez and Kyle Sanford.
