Maria Ferrara

Maria De Los Angeles Herrera Ferrara "Angie" went to be with Our Lord this week at the age of 61. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecilio M. Herrera and Maria Rebeca Ferrara de Herrera; and, her sister Maria Rebeca Mutz. Ms. Herrera is survived by her brothers and sister Cecilio Jose Herrera, FMS, Maria Guadalupe Herrera, RSM, Joseph E. Herrera, FMS, and Dr. Alberto Jose Herrera, Ed. D.; her brother-in-law Paul E. Mutz, her niece Maria Rebeca Mutz; and, numerous cousins and other relatives. Angie grew up in Laredo, Texas. She went to school in Laredo, Texas and pursued her education at Ursuline Academy, Laredo Junior College (LCC), the University of Texas at Austin and Laredo State University (TAMIU). She earned degrees in Higher Education and many State of Texas Specialty Certificates. Angie was an elementary, middle school teacher and Special Education teacher with Laredo ISD; and a Reading instructor at Laredo Community College. Condolences will be received on Sunday May 11, 2014 at Joe Jackson Heights, 719 Loring at Cortez from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. The family invites everyone to meet at Christ the King Catholic Church to celebrate a holy Mass at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 12, 2014. Visitation will be before the Mass at Christ the King Church from 9:00 - 9:45 A.M. Interment will be in the family plot at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
