Mara E. Garca passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014. Loving widowed housewife of pioneering house mover Bartolo Garca. A strong woman who survived the death of her husband for 25 years giving guidance to her daughter and grandchildren. Always requesting family meetings and celebrations just for the love of life. Her smiles and laughter will be missed. She is survived by her loving daughter, Irasema (David) Thiele; beloved grandchildren, Jonathan and Vanessa Thiele; siblings, Gerardo Ros, Norma Ros, Reyna Tern, Yerula Gmez, as well as her loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez. A Rosary will commence at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday morning, June 23, 2014 departing at 9 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
