MARIA ELIA MADRIGAL
December 3, 1941- April 4, 2023
Maria Elia Madrigal joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the age of 81. She passed peacefully with her loving children by her side.
She was born on December 3, 1941 in Rio Grande, Zacatecas. While living in Chicago, she met the love of her life, Gilberto Madrigal. One dance changed their lives and led to a beautiful love story for the ages. They remained faithful to their vows for 59 years. They will continue their eternal love in heaven where they have now been reunited.
Her life reflected the love she had for our lord Jesus Christ. She lived a life of servitude and commitment to her family and Catholic Church. She proudly served as a Lector and in the Guadalupanas at San Martin De Porres Church. She loved to read the bible, pray the rosary, and share the gospel. Maria would make everyone she met feel welcomed and loved. Her greatest treasure was spending quality time with her beloved 8 children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will forever live on in our hearts and memories.
She was preceded in passing by: her beloved husband, Gilberto Madrigal Salinas; her parents Antonio & Julia Arroyo; her brothers, Antonio Arroyo, and Alejandro Arroyo.
Left to cherish her memory are: her children, Lupita Rizo, Lucila (Joe) Ruiz, Gilberto Madrigal Jr., Miguel Angel (Melinda) Madrigal, Martha Elia (Eder) Madrigal-Ramos, Heriberto Antonio (Erika) Madrigal, Gladys Aida (David) Tijerina, Ruth Vanessa (Vicente Jr.) Navarro; grandchildren, Reyna Rizo, Jesus R.
