MARIA ELENA LOPEZ

May 29, 1935 – August 8, 2021

Maria Elena Lopez, 86, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Sunday, August 8, 2021. An incredible loving person that will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, her love for music and dance. For all who knew her very well that she loved to dance and listen to music. She will forever be missed by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband Israel Lopez, her son Jesus Lopez, her parents Nicasio and Narcisa Meza, and her great-grandchild Israel Caleb Martinez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Alicia (Leroy) Hinojosa, Alfredo (Josefina) Lopez, Amalia (Agapito) Gonzalez; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and daughter-in-law Yolanda Lopez. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, August 14, 2021 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to St. Agnes Catholic Mission Church in Mirando City for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Mirando City.

Pallbearers will be: Alfredo Lopez, Marcus Lopez, Israel Martinez, Angel Nieto, Adam Bojorquez, Gerardo Perez, Mike Lopez and Anthony Lopez.

Honorary Pallbearer will be: Reymundo Hernandez.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Alicia Maria Martinez (Granddaughter), Isabel Nieto (Great-Granddaughter), and Martha Tijerina (Niece) for taking great care of her during this past year. As well as Alfa Home Health, Holy Savior Hospice, and Drs and Nurses at LMC.
