Maria de Jesus Castro January 2, 1966 - April 15, 2015 Maria de Jesus Castro, 49, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Maria is preceded in death by her father Rosalio Canela. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years of marriage, Gilberto Castro; daughters, Juana Elvia (Lorenzo Saldaa) Castro, Lizeth Azeneth Castro; mother Maria Felix Pea; brothers and sisters, Joel Canela, Alberta Canela, Griselda (Reymundo) Lara, Dalia (Dario) Vieyra, and Jose Luis Pea. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 2015 departing the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to Santa Rita de Casia Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
