Maria de Jesus Alaniz, 83, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 09, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roberto Alaniz, Jr.; daughter Sara Alicia Alaniz; parents, Jesus and Rebecca Flores; and her granddaughter Kayla Alaniz.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Roberto (Irma) Alaniz III, Reymundo Alaniz, Rolando (Laura) Alaniz, Myrna De Los Santos, Norma (Antonio) Perez, Alfredo Alaniz, Thelma (Steven) Byfield, Veronica (Jason) Dohrman, Mateo (Monica) Alaniz; 24 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Juan Antonio (Emma) Flores, and sister Rebecca Gonzalez; along with other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, June 12, 2020 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, June 13, 2020 departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
