Mrs. Maria Ofelia G. Acevedo, 81, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo H. Acevedo, Sr., a daughter, Rosella Adams, granddaughters: Monnette Martinez and Kristine Meza. Mrs. Acevedo was survived by her children: Rodolfo B. (Julie) Martinez, Deborah (Ray) Soliz, Laura Acevedo, Eliza B. (Jeremy) Acevedo, Veronica Acevedo, Guillermo H. Acevedo, Jr., and Aracely Y. Acevedo. Also surviving her are 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as her sister, Rosalinda (Ramon) Sanchez and sisters-in-laws: Maria Angela Garcia and Amparo Garcia. A vigil for Mrs. Acevedo will be held today Friday, March 21, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd.
