Margarita Serna, 76, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 10, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Maria De La Luz Rocha; her husband, Ildefonso M. Serna Jr.; her son Juan B. Serna; and her sister, Maria Del Socorro Carrillo.

She is survived by her children, Enedina (Ismael) Cortez, Adelfa (Edmundo) Herrera, Luz (Pedro) Villarreal, Jessica (Eliseo) Mexicano, Celeste (Daniel) Hernandez, Griselda (Ramiro) Lopez, Jacqueline (Enrique) Juarez, Ildefonso (Claudia) Serna III, Nancy (Miguel) Morales, Fernando Serna, Maria Del Socorro (Francisco?) Buenrostro, Elvira (Luis) Meraz, Juan Sauceda, and Luz Maria (Oscar?) Elizondo; her grandchildren, Yadhyra, Corina, Ismael Jr., Juan, Joel, Janet, Julian, Eddie, Juanny, Noe, Julie, Pedro Jr., Gustavo, Carlos, Alexis, Lizette, Eliseo Jr., Kassandra, Daniel Jr., Valeria, Sophia, Ramiro Jr., Ricardo, Enrique Jr., Jackie, Margie, April, Valentina, Luz, Fernando Jr., Alejandro, Leonardo, Brianna, Destiny, Maria Del Socorro, Luz, Ariana, Ericka, Mayra, Luis, Luisa, Karina, Oscar, Christopher, and Juan Eduardo Jr. She is also survived by numerous other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 from 5 to 9 in the evening at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 departing the funeral home at 8 a.m. to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Laredo City Cemetery.
