What we do in life echoes for eternity.-This is especially true for Marcelo Galvan, Sr., who entered the regions on immortal felicity on July 19, 2012 in Laredo, TX.-Mr. Galvan, also affectionately known by many as "Amigo", was a loving, nurturing, steadfast provider to his wife of 62 years and family.-Throughout his life, he emulated the principles of hard work and integrity for his 5 children; and similarly, doted upon his grandchildren and great-grandchildren granting them their every wish.
A perfectionist to a fault, he was a self-taught master carpenter whose hands meticulously built not only his children's residences, but were instrumental in changing the face of Laredo one home at a time.-Many a patron whose home he transformed, as well as his children, have proclaimed to feeling blessed to "always have a piece of him."
Never short of a light-hearted sense of humor, Mr. Galvan so naturally befriended even total strangers with his usual warm greeting of "Oiga, amigo!"-He always thoroughly enjoyed surrounding himself with family, good friends, and good cheer, as well as, watching lively rounds of boxing.-He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and all who shared in his friendship.
