Manuela Salinas

Manuela Salinas, 88, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 03, 2014. Manuela was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whom will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Manuela was also a devoted Catholic who attended mass regularly and instilled Godly values in her children. Trials in her life were overcome by her strong faith and love for life. Manuela is preceded in death by her husband: Mateo Salinas; daughter: Zulema Hernandez; and sister: Santos Vargas. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Maricela Campos, Rosa Elia (Jose) Palacios, Alfonso (Leticia) Salinas, Jose A. (Delia) Salinas, and Abel G. Salinas. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 departing the funeral home at 8:00 a.m. to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m. Interment will then follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
