Manuela Hernandez

Manuela de la Cruz Hernandez, 87, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 18, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Julia de la Cruz; her son Rufino Hernandez, Jr.; her husband Rufino Hernandez; two brothers, Pedro de la Cruz, Leonel de la Cruz, and one sister Marianela de la Cruz.

She is survived by her children, Maria H. (Jose Alejandro) Sanchez, Sr., Juan Jose (Aziel) Hernandez, Ruben Hernandez, and Maria Victoria H. (Ramon) Ramirez. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister and brothers, Sara de la Cruz, Julian de la Cruz, Victor de la Cruz, Jr., Enrique de la Cruz, Jose Maria de la Cruz, and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Friday, May 19, 2017 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary was held at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held this morning, Saturday, May 20, 2017 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to Santo Nino Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Ramon Ramirez Jr., Rudy Ramirez, Joshua Ramirez, David Ramirez, Alex Sanchez Jr., Ruben Hernandez Jr., Alex Hinojosa, and Albert Benavides.
