On Thursday, May 08, 2014, God called Manuel Garcia, 64, to enter his eternal home. A quick and sudden passing has left us with a tremendous void in our hearts that will be filled with the many beautiful memories that were inscribed in our hearts and minds. We thank God that he is resting from all his labors and pains, fully enjoying his eternal reward. He is preceded in death by his father: Geronimo Andres Garcia; nephew: Carlos Garcia, Jr. Surviving him is his spouse: Maria Rumalda Garcia; children: Marina (Alonzo Solis) Garcia, Annabelle Garcia, Manuel (Vanessa) Garcia, Jr., Michael (Mary Tapia) Garcia, Erika Garcia, Christopher Lee Garcia, Carlos Silvestre Garcia; grandchildren: Xena Perez, Christian E. Benavides, Ashley K. Garcia, Presciliano Garza, III, Janelle Garcia, Michael Garcia, Manuel Garcia, III. He is further survived by his mother, Maria Inez Garcia; brothers and sisters: Carlos (Connie) Garcia, Jesus (Mari) Garcia, Mari "Lupi" (Angel Solis) Garcia, Alfredo (Maria de Jesus) Garcia, Irma Garcia and the mother of his children and friend: Rosalinda Benavides. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive condolences on Monday the 12th of May 2014 at Joe Jackson Northp Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd, from 4 to 9 in the evening with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the morning of Tuesday the 13th of May 2014 at San Luis Rey Catholic Church; mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. with procession departing the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
