MAGDALENA HERNANDEZ

May 29, 1943- August 10, 2023

Mrs. Magdalena Hernandez, 80, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Magdalena gave so much love to all her family.  Her biggest love was being surrounded by her family.  The love for flowers and planting in her yard was her passion.  She dedicated many hours over many years singing and playing the guitar with a group in Rondalla at nursing homes, church, funerals and hospitals.  She was loved by so many people that met her.   She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amador and Maria Hernandez; her brothers, Roger Hernandez and Moises Hernandez.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Pedro Hernandez; her children, Patricia (Dennis K.) Harris, Pedro (Diana) Hernandez, Jr., and Nilda (Arturo) Lara; her grandchildren, Vanessa Hernandez, Clarissa Hernandez, Kassandra Hernandez, Alyssa Hernandez, Ariana Lara, and Andre Lara; six great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday morning, August 15, 2023, from 9 am to 2 pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 10:30 a.m.

A private cremation will be held at a later date.
