Luis Gomez

Luis Gomez, 66, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 14, 2015. Luis was a hard-working diesel mechanic by trade and retired after working for 24 years with the City of Laredo. His passion was the outdoors, but nothing made him happier than being surrounded by his loving family and grandchildren, passing on his knowledge of hunting and fishing skills. Luis was a proud and devoted Jehovah's Witness. His kind, generous, outgoing and humorous soul will be dearly missed by his loving wife, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first spouse, Maria Emilia Gomez and by his father, Jose Gomez. Luis is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Blanca Rosa Gomez; children, Eleden (Oscar M.) Benavides, Luis (Claudia) Gomez, Ramiro (Martha) Gomez, Daniel (Veronica) Gomez, David Gomez, Nelly (Bobby) Vela, and Roberto (Penny) Gomez; grandchildren, Emily, Oscar Jr., and Ruben Benavides, Abraham Gomez, Rebecca and Karina Gomez, Gabriela, Camila and Ramiro Jr. Gomez, and Orion Gomez; mother, Julia Gomez; siblings, Jose Gomez Jr., Raul (San Juanita) Gomez, Hector (Carmen) Gomez, and Irma (Arturo) Hilario; as well as by numerous other loved relatives and friends.
