LOURDES IMELDA DE LA GARZA
June 8, 1961 – October 19, 2024
Lourdes Imelda de la Garza, 63, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
With heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love, and unyielding compassion. A devoted Catholic, she found solace and inspiration in the grace of St. Francis and shared her immense love with her nephews, nieces, and all children, as well as the animals that graced her life.
A traveler at heart, she found joy in exploring the wonders of the world, each sunrise and sunset filling her spirit with awe. Lourdes's palate was as adventurous as her wanderlust, delighting in the diverse flavors of different cuisines. A staunch advocate for the defenseless, she was a voice for the unborn and a guardian for the elderly, embodying a spirit of unwavering advocacy and care.
Her friendships were cherished treasures, each connection a testament to her capacity for love and understanding. Lourdes wore many hats in her lifetime, each one symbolizing a facet of her multifaceted personality - a caregiver, a comforter, a protector, and a beacon of light in times of darkness.
As we gather to honor her memory, let us remember the legacy of love and compassion that Lourdes leaves behind. May her spirit soar on the wings of angels, forever bathed in the light of the sunsets she adored so dearly. Rest in peace, dear Lourdes - your light will forever shine bright in our hearts.
