Linda Gonzales, 51, entered into the presence of the most high on March 15, 2018 in Laredo, Texas.
Oh what can be said of this precious soul? Linda will always be remembered for her kind spirit and benevolent charisma. Linda was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 11, 1966. Most of her life was spent in that amazing city until recently when she moved to Laredo.
Linda worked in the hospitality business for over 10 years, a passion she held dear to her heart. Linda’s affectionate smile and persona always made a presence in the room where she was at.
In 2008, fate would have it that Linda would meet that person that would share every worry, every joy, every sorrow, and every minute of her being. She met her partner Dora Marie Garza in San Antonio and eventually made Laredo their home. They were happily married for 2 years until Linda was called to her heavenly and eternal home. A love that complimented each other is a love that will undoubtedly continue with the memories etched throughout this life.

I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day. To laugh, to love to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Oh yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted me now; He set me free!
May you rest from all your labors, my love, for your good deeds go with you; always and forever shall you be held in our hearts and minds.
Linda is survived by her spouse: Dora Maria Garza; parents: Abraham and Belia Gonzales; brothers: Adam (Manuela), Tommy (Mary) and Abraham Gonzales; sister in law: Margie (Fina Davalos) Garza; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers who celebrate her life.
A Memorial and Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 5 to 8 in the evening at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd., Laredo, TX 78041.
Funeral Service will begin at 6:30 in the evening.
