LETICIA ADRIANA MENCHACA January 20, 1957 - November 15, 2015 Leticia Adriana Menchaca was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven early Sunday morning, November 15, 2015 at the age of 58. She was preceded in death by her father, Alejo Sandoval. Leticia is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Dr. Diego F. Menchaca; loving children, Celina Menchaca, Diego F. Menchaca, II., and Ricardo A. (Lauren) Menchaca; mother, Carmen Michel de Sandoval; and siblings, Sergio Sandoval, Alejo (Juany) Sandoval, Jr., Brenda (Juan) Martinez, Carlos Sandoval, Jose Maria (Ana Maria) Sandoval, and Alfredo Sandoval. She is further survived by her in-laws, Gina (Edmundo) Gonzalez, Ramiro (Angeles) Menchaca, Rodrigo (Teresa) Menchaca, Manuel (Loyda) Menchaca, and Sergio (Gabriela) Menchaca. Leticia was a loving Mother, Daughter, Wife, and Friend, who dedicated her life to caring for others, especially her husband and three loving children. Leticia's husband, Diego, was fortunate enough to have met the love of his life at the ripe age of 13, and have happily been together ever since. She was an active member in the A.C.T.S prayer community, further strengthening her Catholic faith and participation in the local church. We would like to give special thanks to the following: Dr. Maria Zarzour and her staff at MD Anderson in Houston, TX; Dr. Edward Kost and his staff at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio; Dr. Adonis Zuniga-Goldwater; Altus Hospice; Dr. Dagoberto Gonzalez; Dr. Eduardo Miranda; and John Ulbricht in Laredo, TX; as well as the numerous friends, family, and caregivers who helped her through her battle. The family will receive guests and condolences on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd., where a Vigil for the Deceased & Blessed Rosary will commence at 7 p.m. Funeral Procession will depart on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The Rite of Committal & Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Dr. Diego F. Menchaca, Diego F. Menchaca, II., Ricardo A. Menchaca, Ramiro Menchaca, Sergio Sandoval, Alejo Sandoval, Jr., Carlos Sandoval, Jose Maria Sandoval, and Alfredo Sandoval. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rodrigo Menchaca, Manuel Menchaca, and Sergio Menchaca.
