Leonor Sanchez

Leonor G. Sanchez, 85, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 20, 2010.

At a very young age, she decided to work as a nurse assistant. Through these services, she dedicated herself in helping people. "Leo", as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was an excellent cook who prepared delicious meals. An avid bowler who was a member of a women's league, Leo would often compete in tournaments; her other form of entertainment was Bingo. Her famous words were, "Me quede por un numero!" Grandma Leo will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose G. Sanchez; son, Jose Mario Sanchez, Sr.; sister, Aida Rodriguez; brother, Jose Maria Guerra; sisters-in-law, Estela Sanchez and Lydia Muldrow and parents, Eulalio & Maria Eloisa Guerra.

Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her children, Sylvia Seiple, Jose M. (Eliza) Sanchez, and Inocente (Raquel) Sanchez; sister, Hilda Almendarez; daughter-in-law, Aurora Sanchez; grandchildren, Wayne, Mark, Mario, Jr., Thelma, Danny, Yvonne, Jessica, Martha, Joey F., Joey G., and Kristina; 18 great-grandchildren, her great-great-grandson as well as numerous loved relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Mario Sanchez, Jr., Danny Sanchez, Joey G. Sanchez, Joey F. Sanchez, Louie Almendarez and George Almendarez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jose M. Sanchez and Inocente Sanchez.
Interment will follow to the Encinal Cemetery in Encinal, Texas.

The Sanchez family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to her caretaker Leticia Martinez.
