Kevin Alexander Martinez, 24, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 25, 2020.

Kevin was a loving devoting son and brother. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Kevin's passion was playing basketball ever since he was a little boy. Kevin was a very noble, funny and free spirited person who loved unconditionally.  He lived life to the fullest and touched many lives with his kind heart. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Ricardo Martinez, grandfather Roberto Cavazos, maternal great-grandparents Pedro (Felicidad) Contreras, great-great-grandmother Sotera Contreras, and aunt Juanita Cardenas.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother Sara Alicia (Josue Alvarez) Martinez, brother Ruben Vasquez, sisters Alyssa Martinez and Sophia Alvarez; maternal grandmother Maria Magdalena Martinez; aunts and uncle, Elizabeth (Robert) Martinez, Alexandra (Robert) Zamora, Norma Yvonne Martinez, Ricardo Martinez; cousins, Kimberly, Kayla, Kaycie, Robert, Jr., Victoria, Mark, Aimee, Savannah, Arabella and Dallas Martinez, Jose, Carolina and Alejandro Zamora.  He is also survived by numerous loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, February 3, 2020 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning, February 4, 2020 departing at 10 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.

Pallbearers will be: Ruben Vasquez, Mark Martinez, Robert Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Josue Alvarez, Roberto Zamora, Andres Garcia, Christopher Gamboa, Ruben Gamboa and Marco Rendon.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
