Juanita Costilla

Juanita Soto-Costilla, 97 years old, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on the 13th day of December 2020.

She was the mother of 11 children, a total of 30 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and numerous great great-grandchildren.  She worked the majority of her life and retired from her career making parties and selling Stanley Home Products.

She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Soto and Margarita Partida, husband Santos Costilla Sr., her sons Emilio & Javier Costilla Sr., and grandchildren Amy Maldonado, Javier Costilla Jr. and Ricardo Costilla.

Left to cherish her memory are Elvia (Daniel +) Maldonado, Santos (Laura) Costilla Jr., Tomas Costilla (Patricia), Sylvia (Ezequiel) Ramírez, Antonio Costilla (Lily), Alejandro Costilla, Sandra (Jaime) Vásquez, Elda “Apple” Costilla  (Tomas), and Irma (Luis) Ramírez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 7 am until 11:00 am at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel, 1410 Jacaman Rd. where a chapel service will commence at 11 am. Procession will depart after.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jaime Vasquez, Jimmy Costilla, Louie Ramirez, Omar Costilla, Jason Costilla & Eric Vasquez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Santos Costilla Sr., Tomas Costilla and Antonio Costilla.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Our Mother’s Caregivers (Sylvia, Marylou & Pat).  To Our Niece Ana Fuentes who kept bringing our Mom & Caregivers food selflessly for years.  Also, to Friendly Care Staff and Gentle Hands Staff Edgar, Nurses (Sabrina, Jessica & others), Therapist Hector and Doctor E. Zamarron and Dr. H. Varela.
