JUAN MANUEL GAYTAN, SR.
AUGUST 19, 1945 – NOVEMBER 8, 2017
Mr. Juan Manuel Gaytan, Sr., 72, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children after a long and hard-fought battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Mr. Gaytan was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather who was passionate for music and carne asadas with his family. Juan Manuel always put his wife and children before him. He will be greatly missed.
Preceding him in death are his granddaughter: Baby Ashley; father: Perfecto Gaytan Sr.; mother Estela Camarrillo, grandmother Bernabe Hernandez, brothers Alfredo Gaytan Sr., and Javier Gaytan Sr.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years of marriage: Maria Elena H. Gaytan; children: Juan M. (Maricela) Gaytan Jr., Nora A. (David) Guerra Sr., Ana Laura (Homero) De Los Santos III; as well as by his grandchildren: Homero, Jonathan, Ashley and Jacob De Los Santos, Kimberly, David Jr. Guerra, Stephanie Ramos, Vanessa Garcia, Juan M. Gaytan III; great-grandchildren; Kaylee Nichole, Stella Marie, Humberto Jr. Allison Marie, Alannah Grace; siblings: Perfecto (Sara) Gaytan Jr., Abran (Norma) Gaytan, Lupita (Danny) Sauceda, Irma Gaytan, Rosalinda Gaytan as well as by numerous relatives.
A special thanks to his loving grandson Homero De Los Santos IV for always taking care of him, to Laredo Specialty Hospital and Nurses on Wheels of Laredo as well as by his long time neighbor for always checking on him, Mr. and Mrs. Jose Martinez.
The family will receive condolences on Friday, the 10th of November 2017 from 4 pm to 9 pm at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm.
Funeral procession will depart at 9:15 am on Saturday, the 11th of November 2017 to Christ the King Catholic Church, Tilden Ave at Guadalupe St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Juan M. Gaytan Jr., Homero De Los Santos III, David D. Guerra Sr., Homero De Los Santos IV, Juan M. Gaytan III, Jonathan De Los Santos, David D. Guerra Jr. and Jacob De Los Santos.
