Juan Salinas, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the age of 76. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was also a quiet and gentle man that thought of others before of himself. His pride and joy were his only son and his beloved grandchildren Gaby and JT. We love you wuelo. We will miss you. Mr. Salinas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Del Refugio Salinas; his parents, Santiago and Juanita H. Salinas; his brother, Ernesto J. Salinas; and his sister, Graciela M. Lopez. He is survived by his son, Juan (Sandra) Salinas, Jr. and his grandchildren, Gabriella A. Salinas and Juan Salinas, III. Also surviving him are his brothers and sister: Jose Santiago (Ingaborg ) Salinas, Jose Ramiro (Enedelia) Salinas, Catalina (Adan ) Chavera, Fernando (Maria Angelina) Salinas and Anastacio (Maria Elena) Salinas; his brother-in-law, Juan Lopez, II and sister-in-law, Angelica Salinas. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends. Visitation for Mr. Salinas will be held Monday, December 02, 2013 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning, December 03, 2013 departing at 9 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel to St. Bridget Catholic Mission on Welhousen St. in Oilton, Texas 78371 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot in the Magnolia Cemetery in Mirando City, Texas.
