Juan Rodriguez

Juan F. Rodriguez, 89, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 29, 2012.-Mr. Rodriguez was a great and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.-He was quick-witted,-happy, strong-willed, determined, devoid of vanity, a great role model, and capable of great grace.

Juan lost his parents at an early age and was raised by his first cousin Librada Rodriguez vda. de Zapata.-He always enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.-He was an avid outdoorsman whom also enjoyed hunting, restoring furniture, and was a self taught carpenter, contractor, and migrant worker.-He worked as a ranch foreman in San Ignacio for life- long friend Lauro Martinez.-Like the consummate workaholic he was, nothing seemed to bother him and saw any obstacles as challenges and learning experiences.-His legacy will live on through his family and friends who's lives he touched.

Juan F. was preceded in death by his parents: Alejandro Rodriguez and Petra Briseno; daughter: Dolores De Luna, brother, Manuel Zapata, and his brother-in-law: Salvador Avila.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years of marriage, Francisca Rodriguez; children:-Juan F. (Carlota) Rodriguez, Maria Guadalupe (Luis) Fonseca, Petra Rodriguez, Maria del Carmen R. "M.C.R." (Arturo) Martinez, Alex (Nevolena) Rodriguez; grandchildren: Juan F. Rodriguez III., Jose Luis Rodriguez, Alejandro Rodriguez, Fernando Rodriguez, Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez, Anacleto (Rosana) De Luna, Julia (Albert"") Tijerina, Angelica (Roel) Lopez, Luis Armando Fonseca, Jr., Alex Rodriguez, Jr.; 10 great-grandchidren; brother: Enrique Zapata; sisters: Rosario Zapata, Lala Valderas; brother-in-law: Angel Avila, and-sister-in-law: Antonia Avila.-He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends.
