JUAN JOSE MARTINEZ JULY 12, 1946 - JANUARY 29, 2015 Juan Jose Martinez, 68, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 29, 2015. Mr. Martinez served our country proudly in the United States Armed Forces, where he was honorably discharged. He was also an Honor Guard for the local Post 59 American Legion. Juan Jose Martinez is preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Silvina Martinez; brothers, Fernando Martinez, Alejandro Martinez, and his sister Veronica Martinez. He is survived by his wife Lucila Martinez; children, Magdalena M. Martinez, Juan Jose Martinez, Jr.; grandchildren, Jose Fernando Martinez, Mario A. Carranco, Jr., Misael J. Carranco; siblings, Gloria (Homero) Gonzalez, Alberto (Martha) Martinez, Jr., Margarita (Carlos) Talamantes, Meri (Rafael) Rodriguez, Jr., Sylvia Martinez, Rogelio (Rosalinda) Martinez, Graciela (Richard) Brulloths, Bertha G. (Rudy ) Mendez, and his in laws, Ruperto and Francisca Rincon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to all the veterans of our local Post 59 American Legion, and their wives. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2015 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery with military honors presented by Fort Sam Houston, and local post 59.
