Juan Jose Avila, 43, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 21, 2016.
Juan Avila was employed as a Truant Officer for 10 years, and a total of 20 years for U.I.S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Mercedes Avila; and his brother Arturo Avila, Jr.
He is survived by his sisters and brother, Martha (Jose) Maldonado, Agustin (Beatriz) Avila, Maria Guadalupe (Manuel) Escobedo; sister-in-law Julieta Avila; nephews and nieces, Joe Maldonado, Jr., Cynthia Avila, Ilse Avila, Samantha Escobedo, Manuel Escobedo, Jr., Agustin Avila, Jr., Crystal Navarro, Amanda Garcia, Yvette Navarro, Tiffany Holguin, Angelica Garcia, Raymond Garcia, Monica Garcia; aunt, Amelia Avila Muoz, and Rosa Garcia. He is also survived by his cousins, Lisa Garcia, Jennie Garcia, Arturo Garcia, Jr., Alejandro Garcia, Amelia Morales Avila, Blanca Estela Morales; and other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 4 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2016 departing the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.
Pallbearers are: Arturo Garcia, Jr., Agustin Avila, Sr., Jose Maldonado, Manuel Escobedo, Sr., Manuel Escobedo, Jr., Alejandro Holguin, Luis Navarro, and Agustin Avila, Jr.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
