Jose Reyna, Jr.

Mr. Jose "Pepe" Reyna, Jr., 51, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Pepe was a loving and caring man who enjoyed his nursing profession because he was able to help others, meet new people and give back to the community. He worked at the City of Laredo WIC Department, the Santa Rita Home Health, and at the Laredo Webb County Jail. There was nothing that he loved more than spending time with his beloved family. He enjoyed family gatherings, especially barbeques, hunting with his friends, and loved to travel. He was also an avid hockey fan and was always the first one in line. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. "To my loved ones Please don't worry about my daddy, at the time of his passing I gently took his hand and guided him back home. We are now basking in the glory of our Father's heavenly kingdom." Mr. Reyna is preceded in death by his father, Jose Reyna Sr.; his daughter, Jessica Marie Reyna, brother, Gilberto Reyna; and sister, Laura R. Castillo. Pepe is survived by his loving wife, Isabel Reyna; son, James M. Reyna; daughters, Jennifer and Jackie Reyna; his mother, Minerva Reyna; brother, David (Leticia) Reyna; sister, Elsa (Anibal) Garcia; nieces and nephews, David Andre Reyna, J.J. Castillo, Selina (Gilbert) Perez, Marissa (Fernando) Ballesteros, Laura Garcia, grandnieces and grandnephews, A.B., Julie, Raine Perez, Quinten, Lindsey, Khloe Ballesteros; close friends, Hector Castaeda, Luis Reyes, David Longoria, Simon Vega, Oliver Jordan, Doug Tretiak, J.J. Vidaurri, Rey Pea, Abe Reyna, as well as numerous loved relatives and friends. The family would like to thank his physician: Dr. Winder N. Vasquez for all his compassion, dedication and support; as well as Dr. Eduardo Fernandez for his understanding to our family's needs and circumstances. Visitation was held on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Vigil for the Deceased commenced at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning, November 26, 2013 departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North to Devine Mercy Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be: James Reyna, David Andre Reyna, Leopoldo Hernandez, Jr., Luis Reyes, Hector Castaeda, Rey Pea, Humberto Herrera, Mario Sosa, David Longoria and Abe Reyna. Honorary Pallbearers will be: David Reyna and Anibal Garcia. A private cremation will be held at a later date.
