Jose Pablo Miranda, 83, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 26, 2012.
Mr. Miranda was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. After proudly serving our country for two years with the U.S. Army, he returned to Laredo to continue his education. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He then worked for L.I.S.D as a teacher and vice principal for 37 years.-During this time he remained as a reservist for 24 years in the Naval Reserve, National Guard, the Army Reserve, and was a lifelong member of T.S.T.A. and U.T. Exes. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his family, and tending to his beloved ranch. Mr. Miranda will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Enrique and Enriqueta Miranda; brothers, Enrique (Alicia) Miranda, Juan (Lupita) Miranda, Alfonso (Carmen) Miranda; and his sisters, Carmen (Gabriel) Villarreal, and Sofia Miranda.
Mr. Miranda is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Aurora C. Miranda; his children, Dr. Jose P. (Lezlie) Miranda, Jr., Diana (Ezequiel) Rodriguez, Marisa (Fernando) Ortega; grandchildren, Jose P. Miranda, III, Agustin Miranda, Julian Miranda, Melissa (Daniel) Mercado, Cordelia (Sevie) Sarabia, Gabriela (Josh) Soto, Carlos Rodriguez, Celina Rodriguez, Fernando P. Ortega, Eduardo N. Ortega; great granddaughters, Isabella Mercado, Alyssa Mercado, and Audrina Rodriguez.
