JOSE LARA AUGUST 21, 1938 - APRIL 30, 2015 Jose Lara, 76, of Laredo, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was born on August 21, 1938 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Lara leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts and minds of friends and family, as well as a reminder of a man whose heart was always with those whom he loved. Mr. Lara is preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Josefa Lara; his loving wife: Maria Concepcion "Connie" Lara. He is survived by his loving children: Nora (Juan) Raz of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Diana Lara and Alma R. (Juan) Cadena. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Magdalena Hernandez and brothers: Oscar Lara and Ramon Lara, Jr. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren: Monica (Andrew) Patterson, Jose G. (Pershay) Raz, J.R. Raz, Lisa M. Gonzalez, Abby Gonzalez, Luis E. Gonzalez, Jr., Jennifer A. (Luis) Mata, Juan Jose Cadena Jr., Clarice A. Cadena, Angie (Pat A.) Flores, Sandra (Pepe) Medeles, Albert (Jennifer) Flores, Jose Lara III and Victoria Santana-Lara; 8 great-grandchildren: Jacob and Ava Raz, Kaitlyn and Isabella Mata, Nathan, Angela and Alessandro Medeles and Jesleen N. Flores. He is further survived by an extended number of close friends, relatives and other acquaintances. The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service from 3 to 6 in the afternoon, on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez.
