Jose Gomez, Sr., 93, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 22, 2014. Mr. Jose Gomez, Sr. is survived by his loving wife: Julia A. Gomez; children: Jose (Juanita M.) Gomez, Jr., Luis (Blanca) Gomez, Sr., Raul (San Juanita) Gomez, Sr., Hector (Maria del Carmen) Gomez, and Irma (Arturo) Gomez Hilario. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2014 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
